What artists are going to be at the festival?

May I bring my dog to the festival?
Yes! The Foothills Folk Art Festival is dog friendly. Make sure to bring a leash for your furry friend!

Where do I park?
Festival guests should follow the “PARKING” signs. Click here for more information about parking and directions.

What will there be to eat at the festival?
Guests will have plenty of tasty food options at the Foothills Folk Art Festival. There will be food trucks and a variety of restaurants located around the Courthouse Square that will be serving all day.

What bands are playing at the festival?
Live music will be performed throughout the day at the Frank & Sue Jones Amphitheatre on Main Avenue and at Herbert M. Yount Park at the corner of A Street and College Avenue.

What is there for children to do at the festival?
We’re making sure the Foothills Folk Art Festival will be fun for guests of all ages! Special art activities for children will be held on the east side of the 1924 Courthouse Square throughout the day.

Where can I find a restroom?
Portable toilets will be available for festival guests at multiple locations around the 1924 Courthouse Square. Handicapped accessible toilets will be located near the Frank & Sue Jones Amphitheatre on Main Avenue.

What is the price range of artwork at the festival?
While the cost of artwork is determined by individual artists, prices will likely range from $5 to $500.

Do artists accept credit cards and/or checks?
Payment options will vary with each artist at the festival. While some vendors may accept credit cards and take personal checks, others may be cash only. ATMs are located throughout Downtown Newton. 

Where can I find an ATM?
If you need to grab some cash for the festival, four ATMs are located close to the 1924 Courthouse Square. A CashPoints ATM is in the City Hall parking lot at 401 North Main Ave. A Truist ATM is in the Truist parking lot at 12 North Main Ave. A First Citizens Bank ATM is located in the First Citizens Bank parking lot at 11 South College Ave. A Wells Fargo ATM is in the Wells Fargo parking lot at 102 South Main Ave.

What if I buy a piece of art too big to carry back to my car?
We understand that some pieces available at the festival are really big. If you purchase a piece of art that’s too large to carry back to your car, let the artist know you need assistance and a volunteer will help you move your piece from the festival to your car.

Will alcohol be served at the festival?
Yes! A beer garden will be open on Main Avenue near the Frank & Sue Jones Amphitheatre. Beer garden guests will need to present valid, government-issued identification and remain within designated areas while drinking.
